Rashad Mays

Primary Therapist I, Washington
LSWAIC

Rashad Mays, LSWAIC, serves as a Primary Therapist I for Mission Connection Healthcare. He holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Washington and is passionate about resourcing, educating, and empowering clients in their mental health journeys, particularly during disorienting or distressing seasons of life. With extensive training in DBT and EMDR, he strives to hold a trauma-informed, body-informed, and system-informed therapeutic space.

Rashad views group therapy as equally essential to the healing process as individual therapy, guiding his practice by the belief that healing is an act of communion. He centers compassionate interventions that incorporate communal lenses to support clients’ relationships with themselves, their communities, and the wider world. Outside of his clinical work, Rashad loves animals, house plants, nature, dance, and spending restorative time laughing and sharing joy with friends and family.
