Hybrid, In-Person, & Telehealth Outpatient Treatment Options at Mission Connection

Many people looking for mental health treatment don’t want to disrupt their whole lives and put everything on hold to get care. They want options that fit around their schedules, so they can have support but still go to work, spend time with friends and family, and sleep in their own beds.

Flexible mental health treatment programs at Mission Connection offer just that. Instead of putting everything on pause, you can get the care you deserve while still going about your everyday life. Hybrid options are great if you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, or other behavioral concerns and feel stressed with what’s going on in your life.

At Mission Connection, we’ll meet you where you are, whether that’s at one of our facilities or virtually in your own home. Through a combination of in-person and online therapy programs, we make it easier for you to access care that actually fits your life. Read on to learn more about our hybrid, in-person, and telehealth outpatient treatment options.

Our Hybrid Outpatient Mental Health Treatment Model

Getting mental health care should feel easy and accessible. That’s why our programs offer an outpatient mental health hybrid model that gives you the flexibility to create care around your schedule without compromising quality. Our hybrid mental health treatment model means that we combine our two main formats, which are:

  • In-person care: This form of treatment is available if you’re within driving distance from one of our facilities and could benefit from face-to-face interactions and a structured environment.
  • Virtual therapy: This may be suitable if you’re unable to travel to our facility or prefer counseling from home or another familiar space.

Our hybrid model is telehealth plus in-person counseling options when you need some flexibility (for instance, maybe you don’t always have access to transportation or need to stay home to watch kids), but still want some in-clinic support.

What to Expect From Our Hybrid Behavioral Health Programs

We know that starting treatment is a big step, but we aim to keep the process clear and easy to follow. And if you’re not sure where to start, you can take our free and quick mental health assessment to get insight into your well-being. This way, you can feel empowered to make informed decisions about your care. When you’re ready for treatment, here’s how it works:

Step 1: Contact and Verification of Benefits

You’ll begin the process with an initial phone call with our admissions team. During this call, the representative will gather all of your basic information and answer any questions you might have. They will also collect any insurance details and submit a Verification of Benefits (VOB), so you get an understanding of what’s covered. And if you’re paying out-of-pocket, our team will discuss costs and payment options, including sliding scale fees.

Step 2: Assessment and Building Your Treatment Plan

Next, you’ll meet with one of our clinicians for an in-depth assessment. This assessment will cover your current symptoms and challenges, as well as your mental health and medical history. We’ll also talk about your goals for treatment, your current living situation, and any safety concerns.

After getting a clearer picture of your needs, we’ll work with you on creating a personalized treatment plan that includes individual sessions, group therapy, and psychiatric support. You’ll also design a program schedule that fits around your life and may include remote and in-clinic therapy options.

Step 3: Engaging in Remote or In-Person Care (or Both)

The final step is starting treatment. You’ll attend consistent weekly therapy sessions either in-person, virtually, or through telehealth and in-person therapy combined. Working with you, our team will also adjust your treatment plan as needed. One of the benefits of flexible mental health treatment programs is the ability to change your schedule, format, or intensity of care as your symptoms and needs change.

Our Program Structure and Weekly Schedule

At Mission Connection, we offer two levels of care for our blended therapy programs for mental health: partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient.

Our partial hospitalization program (PHP) is our highest level of care and the most intensive. In this program, you’ll attend treatment five days a week, for about six hours per day. This schedule immerses you in individual and group therapy sessions, as well as medication management if needed.

The other program is our intensive outpatient program (IOP), which many people use as a step-down from residential care or PHP, or if they just need more structure than the traditional weekly therapy sessions. Our hybrid IOP programs require a minimum commitment of three days a week, with programming three to five hours per day.

To accommodate work, school, and other responsibilities, our virtual program schedule operates seven days a week, allowing up to nine different groups to run in a single day. Here’s how the typical schedule looks:

  • Monday through Friday: Morning groups begin as early as 6:00 AM PST and end as late as 8:30 PM PST.
  • Saturdays: Groups run from 8:30 AM PST until 3:00 PM PST.
  • Sundays: Programming is available from 10:00 AM PST until 4:00 PM PST.

Our in-person programming occurs from Monday through Friday, and our start and end times are specific to the location. For example:

Rather than assigning a fixed schedule, we empower you to select the days and sessions that meet your required hours.

The Treatment Modalities We Use

At Mission Connection, we believe in treating the whole person, not just the symptoms. That’s why we combine evidence-based approaches with holistic methods. Our evidence-based treatments include, but aren’t limited to CBT, DBT, EMDR, and exposure therapy to address the root causes, thoughts, and behaviors causing your distress. But at the same time, we include mindfulness, somatic approaches, and art therapy to help you learn new ways to manage difficult emotions and challenges.

Across all formats, whether you’re in person, virtual, or participating in hybrid mental health treatment, you’ll receive the same level of clinical quality and consistency.
