Our Mission Connection partial hospitalization program (PHP) is accessible both in person and as a hybrid program (in person and virtual) to men and women seeking treatment for anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. PHPs are popular for their structure during the weekdays, which provides comprehensive treatment without clients needing to live away from their homes.

As opposed to residential programming, which is attended on an inpatient basis, with 24/7 care, PHPs are only available Monday through Friday, during the weekdays, and clients return home at night. Individuals attend six hours of programming each day of the week for a total of 30 hours per week.

The intensive outpatient program (IOP) at Mission Connection in Bellevue is also available both in-person and hybrid for accessibility. This level of programming accommodates your schedule with a more flexible routine and a lower time commitment on a daily and weekly basis. IOPs are helpful programs for men and women who are struggling with their mental health, but who cannot completely step away from their responsibilities at home.

Individuals participate in three hours of treatment a day but, depending on their needs, may attend between three and five days each week for a total of nine to 15 hours of treatment a week.

At Mission Connection, we understand that mental health services are not one-size-fits-all. That’s why we have a qualified clinical team on staff who can engage in a wide variety of therapeutic activities to meet your specific needs.

From traditional modalities to more experiential and expressive ones, clients at our outpatient program in Bellevue have the opportunity to grow and connect in the manner that best suits their needs.

Types of evidence-based therapy typically include:

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors, and reassociating them, or adjusting perceptions of those behaviors.
  • Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) aims to help individuals understand and manage negative emotions better through conversations.
  • Cognitive processing therapy (CPT) is a shorter-term form of CBT that is used to address specific instances of trauma, spotting underlying patterns and thoughts.
  • Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) is a more action-oriented form of therapy that helps with embracing thoughts instead of fighting them.
  • Group therapy includes evidence-based group work such as music therapy, ACT, and somatic experiences like breathwork or yoga.

FAQs About Our Outpatient Facility in Bellevue

Outpatient sessions take place Monday through Friday, from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and it’s encouraged to attend sessions for approximately twelve weeks at a time. The frequency you’ll attend outpatient sessions will depend on your individual treatment plan; PHP clients attend outpatient sessions five days a week for six hours each day, while IOP clients attend treatment three hours a day three to five days a week.

Yes, through Mission Connection, you’ll meet with a psychiatrist on a biweekly basis who will provide medication management services.

When you contact a member of our admissions team, you’ll take a clinical assessment that will enable us to better understand the mental health conditions you’re living with and what the appropriate level of care would be for you.

The primary difference between inpatient and outpatient treatment is the regularity of programming and the fact that when receiving inpatient care, you live in a residential facility full-time. Rather than 24/7 clinical support, outpatient services allow you to return home in the evening and on weekends after programming.

We encourage our clients at the Mission Connection outpatient facility in Bellevue to attend the program for 12 weeks to get the most out of all of the groups and individual therapy sessions.
