In-Person Outpatient Treatment at Mission Connection

Many of us have been in the position where we’re trying to search for “in-person therapy near me,” hoping to find the right support and care. But sometimes we’re not just looking for therapy, we want more structured treatment. And we want it to get us out of the house so that we can interact with people in the real world. In-person mental health treatment at Mission Connection offers just that.

Our in-person outpatient treatment programs can be an ideal fit for people dealing with various mental health concerns, from depression and anxiety to trauma and schizophrenia. But they’re mostly suitable for those who feel stable enough to return home at the end of the treatment day and manage their daily responsibilities.

If you prefer face-to-face interactions rather than virtual treatment, read on to learn more about in-person outpatient treatment at Mission Connection.

Our In-Person Outpatient Treatment Approach

At Mission Connection, our program philosophy is that you heal faster when supported by a community. This is why our program centers around group therapy as a main source for change. This doesn’t replace one-on-one therapy; it supports it.

In our outpatient programs, you’ll still have individual sessions and psychiatric services, if needed. But having a focus on community allows you to work alongside others who are going through similar experiences, helping you feel less alone. We believe this model offers consistency and connection that traditional therapy often can’t provide on its own.

What to Expect From Mission Connection’s In-Person Outpatient Programs

If you’re just starting out and are not sure if you could benefit from our in-person services, you can start by taking our free mental health assessment. This easy, five-minute self-assessment can give you insight into your mental well-being so you feel empowered when deciding whether treatment is right for you.

And if you decide you’d like to take part in our in-person outpatient program, here’s how the process usually unfolds:

Step 1: Assessment and Program Placement

One of our trained clinicians will complete a more in-depth assessment to better understand your symptoms, how they’re impacting you, and your goals for treatment. They’ll also ask you about your mental health and medical history, as well as your current living situation and support system. This way, they can get a holistic picture of what brings you into treatment and how best to serve you.

We’ll also work with you to pick the right outpatient treatment program to meet your needs, whether that’s our intensive outpatient or partial hospitalization program.

Step 2: Personalized Treatment Planning

After assessment and program placement, you’ll work with your clinical team to create a treatment plan that meets your needs and goals. You will always have a voice in the structure of your schedule, so depending on the program you attend, you’ll pick the days and times that work best for you. At the same time, you’ll also be supported in meeting the program requirements.

Step 3: Participating in Your Therapy Program

When you’re fully enrolled, your next and most important step is participating in your therapy program. You’ll engage in group therapy, individual sessions, family counseling, and psychiatric services, if needed. These sessions give you space to process personal experiences and learn how to manage your emotions, strengthen relationships, and communicate effectively.

What Is Our Program Structure and Weekly Schedule?

At Mission Connection, our in-person mental health treatment includes two levels of care: partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP).

Our PHP is our most structured and intense outpatient treatment, with programming occurring five days a week for about six hours per day. This level of care is ideal if you’re looking for a highly structured routine while still living at home.

In contrast, our IOP is still structured, but less intense. It requires a commitment of at least three days per week, with sessions lasting three to five hours per day. You might choose our IOP if you’re stepping down from residential care or PHP, or if you need more support than just weekly therapy.

Unlike many local mental health clinics, our programs work around your life. Our in-person behavioral health treatment runs Monday through Friday. However, timing depends on location. For example:

  • Rancho Viejo (San Juan Capistrano, CA): In-person treatment groups run from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • Evergreen (Bellevue, WA): Treatment groups run from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • Green Lake (Seattle, WA): This location features extended treatment hours, with groups running from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM.
  • Quincy (Arlington, VA): In-person groups run from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • Tyson’s Corner (Falls Church, VA): Treatment groups run from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Depending on the type of program you’re enrolled in, you’ll get to choose the days and times that work best for you and adjust your schedule as your needs change.
